Two Cold Caans
Jimmy’s completely impromptu version of Card at Any Number, repeatable and performed with a cold, untouched deck. This uses an almost forgotten principle, combined with Jimmy’s touches to make it happen fast, hard and shockingly impossible!
Two audience members come to the stage area and a pack of cards is provided. The cards are handed to the spectators, and they split the pack among the two of them. They are each asked to think of a number between one and twenty, and the performer turns his back so that they can count down to the card that they remember at that number in their stack. The cards are replaced in the same order, and the performer takes each pack and removes one card from each, placing the two cards in his pocket.
When the helpers go to find their cards in their respective packs, they are nowhere to be found. Of course, they were the two cards placed in the pocket earlier. Impossible!
Jimmy has added additional touches to an effect that has been long forgotten in the annals of magic history. Few know the concept, many are fooled. This one works for any group from a Boy Scout pack to an adult house party. Great stage work here!
