The performer borrows a regular light bulb and has the spectator hold in their own hand.  The performer's hands are seen to be empty, and he places his hands over the light bulb with his fingers spread loosely over the bulb.  The bulb illuminates, and the spectator has a look of disbelief, shock, surprise and, finally, relief, as the performer steps away and the bulb is extinguished.

This method is new, and uses a completely ungimmicked light bulb.  You can use a clear or white bulb.  The gimmick is very simple to construct, and you receive the correct specifications for ordering and assembling this.  Trying to do this yourself without the actual stock numbers of the components would cost much more than just purchasing this manuscript.
